e the next person, I love a good ole’ pint but these sessions that Im constantly at with the lads has to stop, well for me anyway. Im sick of waking up in the morning, no recolection of the previous 10 hours and a headache that can only be cured by drinking more booze.
Its also inevitable when you hang around with the likes of Rory Power, though an exception this week because of his 21st but he can fuck off if he thinks Im going to wander into town with him at 1pm the next day for a cure.
So between sitting around and feeling sorry for myself I have been playing Gears of War 2 which my sister and brother got me for Christmas. I liked the first one so didn’t expect much out of this one. Its made by “Epic Games” and this game is EPIC! I suppose the new 37″ HDTV helps but the story-line and graphics are brilliant, loads of blood and some serious alien head stomping. Got a 360? Invest in this baby.
Hopefully when I wake up i will be grand again, New Years Eve looms ahead as well but I think I will give it a miss, fuck you alcohol.

Anyway, I seem to have alot of free time on my hands these days and since the majority of my friends are having a productive year by completing yet another year of college, im stuck in fantastic Ennis where it rains and smells funny. So I came up with a solution, or even a solution came to me. Blizzard sent me an e-mail going on about a 10 day free trial for “World of Warcraft”. All of you have heard of it, South Park made it even bigger (somehow) back in Season 10 but it currently boasts about 10 million players.
I dont get what Im doing or even suppose to do, but I do enjoy running around and trying to kill people with my weak powers, gain more experience points to become a higher level. Its interesting, Im hoping it takes over my life for a year so when I finally snap out of my addiction it will be time for me to move to Dublin (guaranteed they like my portfolio and accept me). Shit.. its still 2007.

So I finally got my hands on a copy of Halo 3, a mere 2 days after it was released. Those 2 days were in fact torture, just knowing that other people were getting to play the final installement in the trilogy and I was.. well working. But I bought it on payday and finished it the next day.
Ive got the say, the game is brilliant. The graphics, the music, the storyline and the whole concept. It really does feel like a mission where you are just about to save the world. Its like a world we never knew, ha ha. The online capabilites are the best part of Halo. I was playing all night and this morning online. Im suprisingly good. Im also lookign forward to playing co-op with someone once I get a second controller. You can play the whole campaign mode with 2 people, should be fun with a few cans and smokes.
I have spent the last 2 hours hacking my xbox. It took me forever to locate the proper PAL save files for the game exploit, but now I have a hacked xbox! Yes it is sweet, theres only one problem now. For me to get all my content from the computer to the xbox - I need to make a network somehow, and wireless will be too slow to stream shit to the xbox. LAN is out of the question because there will be a cable running from the xbox to the computer, through the hallway.
Oh well, Im sure I will find a way
